Fire and Water Fever Brewing

Do you have family or friends (city folk) who need to get out of the rat race, let their hair down and experience some small town revelry?....then you definitely need to let them know that Mitchell is the place to be in September. The Booringa Fire & Water Festival is making it's way back on 20th-21st September 2019. What is this all about you ask? It's an opportunity for us to celebrate Mitchell's unique history and our connection to this land. There will be live entertainment, markets, activities and heaps of food and beverage options. I am personally pumped to see the Madcap Fire Twirling crew. With over 12 years experience in twirling fire staves, devil sticks and dragon staves!!! If you are like me and have no idea what those terms mean :) you can check them out at https://www.facebook.com/Madcapskills/

With August on the horizon it is getting closer to finals time in local football. This weekend will be the last home game for the junior teams. You can pop over to the Mitchell RSL and Combined Sports Complex to check out the local up and coming football stars on Saturday morning.

BAG are excited to announce that funding has been secured from FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal...say that fast...what a tongue twister) to upgrade our Information Centre. Stay posted for details!!!

That's another week down! July is certainly flying by and the thought of the warm spring evenings, just around the corner, are what's getting me through these icing mornings!!

Enjoy the rest of your week and have a splendid weekend, and PLEASE don't forget to share any of your community news with us at BAG by emailing booringaactiongroup@gmail.com
