Current owners of Bonus Downs, Lyle and Madonna Connolly, take their responsibility as custodians of this unique part of Queensland's history seriously and have painstakingly restored the homestead and buildings. Today Bonus Downs is ranked as one of the finest and oldest established properties in the Maranoa. Guests are encouraged to take a bushwalk and discover many different plant and timber species including a stand of rare Ooline trees, relicts of ancient Gondwanan Rainforests with origins dating back 1.6 million years.
